Who we are
Everything below concerns the website of Red Lantern HK, a Hong Kong escort agency. For any question about your data, or to ask for a copy or for deletion, use the booking and contact form or write to our managers on Telegram or WhatsApp.
What we collect at a glance
| When | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You send a booking or contact request | The contact you leave, your name if you give one, your message, the model or agency you ask about and the page you sent it from | To answer you and arrange the booking |
| You open an account | Your name, email address, account type and password, kept only as a one-way hash | To let you sign in and use the account |
| You write a review | The name you enter, your rating and your text | To publish the review once a moderator approves it |
| You vote on a profile (like or dislike) | Your vote, linked to your account or to a random token in your browser | To count votes and prevent repeat voting |
| You browse the site | The cookies listed below, a count of profile views and usage data for Microsoft Clarity | So that the site works, and so we can improve it |
| You install our app | A random device number, the type of device, system and browser, language, time zone, screen size, country (worked out from the connection; the IP address itself is not stored), when you installed and opened the app and which pages you opened in it | To count the people who use the app and to improve it |
| You turn on notifications | The notification address your browser creates for our app and the notifications you tap | To send you the notifications you asked for and to see which ones are useful |
Booking and contact requests
A request sent with the form is saved on our server and passed to our managers’ chat in Telegram, so that the manager on duty sees it at once. It contains the contact you leave, your name if you give one, your message, the profile or agency page you are asking about and the page address it was sent from. Your IP address is not stored with it.
The Telegram and WhatsApp buttons go through our contact service, which picks the manager account that answers and opens the chat. The service is told which page you tapped the button on. A WhatsApp chat starts with a pre-filled line that contains this address, and you can edit it before sending. Once the chat is open, Telegram’s or WhatsApp’s own privacy rules apply.
Accounts
An account stores your name, email address, account type and password; the password is kept only as a one-way hash, never as readable text. Models and agencies also keep their profiles, photos and agency page in the account, together with the contacts they give our managers, which are never published. If you tick «Keep me signed in», a cookie keeps you signed in on that browser.
When you ask for a new password, we email you a reset link that works for 60 minutes. You can delete the account in its settings with your password. Deleting it removes the account together with its reviews, votes, liked profiles and notifications, as well as the profiles, photos and agency page created in it.
Reviews and votes
A review is saved with the name you enter, your rating, your text and, if you are signed in, your account. It appears only after a moderator approves it, showing the name (or «Guest»), the date, the stars and the text.
A like or dislike on a profile is stored with your account or, without one, with a random token kept in a cookie for a year. Your IP address is not stored with a vote: to stop repeat voting, a scrambled form of it is held in temporary memory for 24 hours.
Cookies and browser storage
- Session: links the pages of your visit, so that things like the filters you picked stay in place; it ends once you have been inactive for 120 minutes.
- Security token: protects our forms from being submitted by other websites; 120 minutes.
- Age confirmation: stores your answer on the age screen so that it is not shown again; 180 days. A copy of that answer also sits in your browser’s local storage.
- Keep me signed in: set only if you tick that box when signing in; up to 400 days, or until you sign out.
- Card layout: remembers the layout you chose for profile lists; 180 days.
- Guest votes: the random token that lets you like or dislike profiles without an account; one year. Your votes are also remembered in local storage.
- Microsoft Clarity: its own cookies, described in the next section.
We use no advertising cookies. You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser at any time; the age screen will then appear again.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity gives us a picture of how the site is used, such as where visitors click, how far they scroll and which pages lose them, so that we can fix what does not work. From clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement, the pages opened, the device and browser type and the visitor’s country, it builds heatmaps and session replays. Anything typed into a form is masked inside your browser, so Clarity does not record it.
Clarity places its own cookies to recognise a browser that comes back and to link the pages of one visit. Microsoft handles this information according to the privacy statement published by Microsoft. If you prefer not to be included, block cookies from clarity.ms in your browser settings or install a tracking blocker.
Profile views and maps
Each profile counts its views. To count a visitor only once in six hours, a scrambled identifier of the visit stays in temporary memory for six hours and is then dropped.
Maps on the site load their images from OpenStreetMap servers when a map comes into view. Your browser then contacts those servers directly, which shows them your IP address and the address of our site, though not the page you are on.
Our app and notifications
You can add the site to your phone or computer as an app. The app then tells us a random device number, created on your device and not linked to your name, together with the type of device, system and browser, the language, the time zone, the screen size and the country worked out from your connection; we do not keep the IP address. It also tells us when the app was installed and opened and which pages were opened in it. If you are signed in, the device is linked to your account.
Notifications are sent only if you turn them on in the app. Your browser then gives us a notification address, which we use to send messages through the push service of your browser’s maker (Google, Apple or Mozilla); a tap on a notification is counted. You can turn notifications off in your phone or browser settings at any time, and removing the app stops them.
Who else receives data
- Telegram, which carries form requests to our managers’ chat.
- Our contact service, which receives the page address when you tap a messenger button.
- Microsoft, through Clarity.
- Google, Apple or Mozilla, which deliver app notifications to your device when you have turned them on.
- OpenStreetMap, when a map loads.
- The companies that host the site, whose servers handle every request, your IP address included, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep data
Booking requests, reviews, account data and app records have no fixed storage term: they stay until you ask us to delete them or, for an account, until you delete it. Sessions end after 120 minutes of inactivity, password reset links expire after 60 minutes, and the scrambled identifiers used for counting views and votes are discarded after six and 24 hours. Cookies last for the periods listed above.
Your choices
- Ask our managers for a copy of the data we hold about you, or for a correction.
- Ask us to delete a request, a review or anything else we hold about you.
- Delete your account in its settings.
- Clear cookies and local storage in your browser, or block Clarity.
- Turn app notifications off in your phone or browser settings, or remove the app.
Adults only
Nobody under 18 may use the site, and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under that age. If we find that we have, we delete it.
Models and agencies
Documents, contacts and other data that models and agencies give us are covered in the privacy page for partners.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy on the day the site starts collecting something new, such as a new form or a new service. The date at the bottom of this policy shows the version you are reading.
